Ozark Ride Planning
A week ride in the Ozark area of Missouri and Arkansas is on my short list, and very doable. Adding Oklahoma to the hit-list is quite easy; I've never ridden in Kansas or Texas either, but they're a bit more out of the way. This plan is for a 7 day ride, but with one additional day, we could avoid taking I-70 back to Columbus (and rather, go through Evansville Indiana, Louisville Kentucky, and Cincinnati.
My ideal route would be an Adventure ride based off the Ozark Adventure Tour. It could easily be done on more major paved roads. Cannonshot puts together some absolutely amazing rides for bikes of various sizes. He designed this particular route for large adventure bikes. His route is spends about twice the time (and mileage) in the hills; I've had to narrow mine down to make it doable in a week. Cannonshot's Ozark Ride Report (with maps). Cannonshot's Ride Archive.
(I've started a draft of a simpler Ozarks ride, in an attempt to make it more accessible to less adventure riders.

I've got it broken down into what I would consider reasonable days, but I have not routed the maps exactly on the adventure roads. I've simply got them close enough to get a very good idea of where we would be headed. I've also not searched for motels and the end points for each day; this is a very rough draft at this point.
